Dr. Amy Robinson

PT, DPT, PRPC, CLT, WHNC

Physical Therapist

I grew up in Galveston, IN, and attended school at Lewis Cass Jr./Sr. High School. I went on to attend PT school at Indiana University Indianapolis. I went back and obtained my doctorate from Utica College, as it allowed me to focus my studies on pelvic health.

I started a pelvic PT practice for Tx: Team Therapy in 1999. Tx: The team is a contract company, and I was able to help start pelvic health programming for patients in outpatient, inpatient, long-term care, and assisted living settings. I worked for them until 2005, when I moved to Physiotherapy Associates. I continued to grow the Physiotherapy Associates pelvic health program and stayed there until 2007. Tx: The team’s management team stayed in touch with me while I was at Physiotherapy Associates, and I returned to Tx:Team 2007-2013. While I was working at Tx:Team, I reached out to an OBGYN who had an interest in pelvic health. I worked out of his office one day per week for 12 years, helping his clients with all things pelvic health. During that time, the OBGYN started the Center for Sexual Medicine, and I also worked with both doctors at that location to help clients decrease pain and improve sexual health. As of 2013, the Tx:Team decided they were no longer going to continue with outpatient PT, and I worked alongside the CEO and CFO to determine which company we would purchase our pelvic health program from. Our whole team chose Accelerated Rehab, and we continued to grow the pelvic health program until Atletico purchased it. Athletico made sweeping changes, and they determined that pelvic health patients would be seen for 30 minutes and then be shifted to the gym to complete exercises with a rehab aide. As of 2016, I opened Restore Your Core PT because I wanted to treat patients the way they deserve to be treated without insurance, driving what care they were allowed to receive.

My core values are: Integrity, accountability, compassion, competence, authenticity

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

I am the owner/CEO, and we specialize in treating all things pelvic health for adults, teens, and tweens.

I’m very passionate about helping people who have constant pelvic pain because it’s one of the most annoying problems they have to deal with. The problem is complicated and can have a big effect on a person’s quality of life, often causing mental pain, relationship problems, and limits on daily activities. For some people, looking for medicine that works can be a long, hard, and frustrating process. My goal is to help people get better and take back control of their lives by giving them complete and caring care using the newest diagnostic and treatment methods.

Testimonials

I spent lots of time and money on three other physical therapists before I went to Restore Your Core. After seeing Amy and Meredith, I feel the best I have felt in 8 years, and I finally have relief from enduring pain. These professionals are true experts in their field. Not only are they very knowledgeable and skilled, but they are also friendly, kind, and encouraging.

I have several issues that have caused me to have a limited quality of life for the past 17 years. I have been to numerous doctors and very well-known medical facilities across the US. Going to Restore Your Core has changed my life. I have decreased my pain medications significantly, and my quality of life has changed from watching others live their lives to thriving in my own life. I can’t say enough positive things about this group of gifted medical professionals. This is my wish for you: go to Restore Your Core, open your mind to what they tell you, do your at-home therapy between your appointments, and believe your life can change too.

Dr. Robinson has changed my life! Countless doctors and specialists told me for years to “live with it” or just tried to prescribe medication and Bandaid fixes. Dr. Robinson spent time with me and did a thorough analysis, then created a treatment plan that has drastically improved my overall wellbeing. She provides tools to equip you to better understand your issues and resolve them as they may arise. I highly recommend Restore Your Core!
