Meredith Salas

PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

I grew up in Fishers, Indiana, and graduated from FHS before continuing for my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Indianapolis. I’m familiar with most of the East Side of Indiana, as I live over there now, and have spent lots of time commuting around for school and previous jobs.

I received my doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis in 2018 and then started working with both orthopedic patients and female pelvic health patients. I started treating male pelvic health patients in 2020 and have continued to go through direct mentorship with Dr. Robinson since starting at RYC PT in 2021. I am also currently working on a fertility certification to assist with patients undergoing fertility treatment.

My core values are: Integrity, Honesty, Grace, and Truth

As a physical therapist, I am on the frontlines of patient care! I am working on a fertility certification to be able to assist in optimizing health for fertility in order to maximize the potential to get and stay pregnant. However, I also am the PT who enjoys treating male patients the most. I enjoy treating male pelvic/back/groin pain and constipation, so I tend to have a good mix of patients.

Not having anyone take a look at the whole picture! So often I see patients come in and they feel like they’ve had to see 5 different people for each individual piece of their health “puzzle,”  when really it would have been much quicker to look at the whole picture and figure out the root cause that is then impacting all the different areas. I love that at RYC PT we have the ability to treat the whole body, not just one body part.

In general, I enjoy treating pelvic pain for both female and male patients, especially chronic pain. I got into the PT field after watching my own father deal with a lot of chronic pain and have good success with PT, so it has always been a place near and dear to my heart. Chronic pain often has a large spiritual and mental component that comes along with the physical issues, and I enjoy working together with my patients to get to the core of their issues and help them figure out how they can better manage their pain, improve their quality of life, and have a better, brighter outlook in all aspects of their health.

I love getting lots of one-on-one time with all my patients! I enjoy meeting and befriending new people, and it’s easy to do with patients when we get to spend a lot of quality time together without being interrupted by other patients or being out in a gym where there isn’t much privacy. I also love that the business isn’t part of a huge corporation. If I want to pick my boss’s brain about a challenging diagnosis or a unique presentation, she is easy to reach. We also have a great team of other PTs who are always willing to help out or give a second opinion about what they are seeing if I get stuck churning my wheels about a patient.

When I’m not working, I like to spend time outdoors with my kids and husband, read a good novel, or play video games. My family are all big Legend of Zelda fans—my husband’s proposal and wedding ring incorporate the video game franchise, and my son is named after the protagonist of the series! We all enjoy tabletop games as well, with Uno being a family favorite, but we’ll try just about any board or card game. Just know my kids got my competitive spirit, so they will show no mercy!

Testimonials

I spent lots of time and money on three other physical therapists before I went to Restore Your Core. After seeing Amy and Meredith, I feel the best I have felt in 8 years, and I finally have relief from enduring pain. These professionals are true experts in their field. Not only are they very knowledgeable and skilled, but they are also friendly, kind, and encouraging.

I have several issues that have caused me to have a limited quality of life for the past 17 years. I have been to numerous doctors and very well-known medical facilities across the US. Going to Restore Your Core has changed my life. I have decreased my pain medications significantly, and my quality of life has changed from watching others live their lives to thriving in my own life. I can’t say enough positive things about this group of gifted medical professionals. This is my wish for you: go to Restore Your Core, open your mind to what they tell you, do your at-home therapy between your appointments, and believe your life can change too.

Dr. Robinson has changed my life! Countless doctors and specialists told me for years to “live with it” or just tried to prescribe medication and Bandaid fixes. Dr. Robinson spent time with me and did a thorough analysis, then created a treatment plan that has drastically improved my overall wellbeing. She provides tools to equip you to better understand your issues and resolve them as they may arise. I highly recommend Restore Your Core!
