Dr. Julie Jerrell

PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

I grew up in NH, though I have strong Indiana roots through my parents. I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree and from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. I have worked in orthopedic clinics in Florida, North Carolina, and Indiana.

Certifications in ASTYM, dry needling, ACL prevention, Functional Movement Screen, and extensive clinical and coaching experience with patients of all ages and activity levels.

My core values are:

I value compassion and self-advocacy, and I love to learn!

I treat orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions of the body, from the neck to the shoulder, all the way to the ankle and foot. I work with our other PTs to address multiple areas of pain and impairments, allowing us to treat the patient holistically.

I want to fix patients’ management of acute and chronic pain, their difficulty with everyday functional tasks, and their limitations in exercises they enjoy doing.

I love working here because I enjoy the approach we take at assessing the full musculoskeletal system.

What is Dr. Julie Reading, Listening To, and Watching?

I’m really into podcasts currently, on many topics including physical therapy, history, and even economics!

When I am not working, you will most likely find me on the field coaching as the head coach of the Bishop Chatard lacrosse program. I love coaching because it allows me to empower athletes to push themselves to levels of competition they didn’t know they had, and I bring that to my clinical practice too. I also enjoy traveling and supporting my alma mater, Purdue, in everything athletics!
