CranioSacral Services in Restore Your Core Physical Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique that releases restrictions in the soft tissues surrounding the central nervous system, helping to reduce pain, dysfunction, and improve overall health.
What is CranioSacral Therapy?
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach to assessing and enhancing the function of the craniosacral system, which includes the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that protect the brain and spinal cord. By using a light, non-invasive touch, therapists release restrictions in the soft tissues surrounding the central nervous system. According to the Upledger Institute International, CST is increasingly used to prevent disease and treat a variety of medical conditions.
How Does CranioSacral Therapy Work?
Every day stress and strain can cause your body’s tissues to tighten, leading to distortions that affect the efficiency of the craniosacral system. These distortions can create tension around the brain and spinal cord, potentially leading to restrictions that hinder the health of the central nervous system and its interactions with other bodily systems.
Therapists use a gentle touch to assess the movement and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain. Through soft-touch techniques, they release any restrictions within the craniosacral system’s tissues, promoting overall well-being.
CranioSacral Therapy is effective in treating a variety of dysfunctions, including chronic pain, sports injuries, stroke, and neurological impairments.

CST and Pelvic Floor Therapy
The connective fascia that runs throughout your body extends to the pelvic floor as well. CST can reduce restrictions in the tissues and structures around your pelvic diaphragm, providing an excellent complement to pelvic floor therapy.
CST can be integrated into a pelvic floor session, reducing tightness and calming the nervous system. Additionally, CST can enhance your respiratory diaphragm’s function, which works in harmony with your pelvic floor muscles and breathing patterns. Physical Therapy: Maximizing your breathing can significantly benefit your pelvic floor health.

I cannot say enough good remarks about Dr. Jordan. I walked into their office (after making an appointment) really worried about my lower ab area, and hip flexor after an injury that I felt would haunt me forever. I was hopeless, fearful to never get back to my old self, after 2 years of little improvement post injury. The injury impacted me in several ways that drove me to feeling depressed and hopeless, sad to say. After spending many sessions with Dr. Jordan, I can confidently say that I am really close to my old self, able to run, and lift weights and workout again. I originally went to my family doctor, and was mis- diagnosed, saw a urologist that told me to just let it heal, and was so discouraged. I’m thankful and grateful that I found Dr. Jordan as she helped me with understanding, knowledge about what was wrong, and ultimately got me to a place that I thought I maybe would never see again! 2026 is going to be my year! Thank you Dr. Jordan…. you deserve more than 5 stars!

I can’t say enough good things about Restore Your Core. I’ve lived with chronic pain and complex health issues for years and have tried what feels like every therapy out there with little to no lasting improvement. A doctor recommended Restore Your Core, and I am so grateful they did. This is the first place that has looked at my body as a whole system instead of isolated problems. They don’t just give you exercises—they teach you how your body is meant to function together. I’ve learned simple but powerful adjustments in how I hold and move my body that have made a noticeable difference in my daily pain. For the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful and equipped with tools that actually work. If you’re dealing with chronic pain and feel like nothing has helped, I highly recommend giving Restore Your Core a try.
